What It Means to Have a Well-Connected Travel Advisor

Most people think hiring a travel advisor means handing off the logistics—flights, hotels, transfers, done. But when you work with a well-connected travel advisor, you get something far more valuable: relationships.

Not just mine with you, but mine with the chefs, concierges, hoteliers, and local hosts who help make your trip unforgettable.

Next month, I’ll be in Italy—visiting properties in Puglia and Sicily not just to take photos or gather brochures, but to shake hands, taste the menus, walk the rooms, and have meaningful conversations with the people behind the experiences I recommend. These trips are one of the most important things I do, not just for me, but for you.

Let me show you why.

We Work With People, Not Just Places

When I book your hotel, I’m not just entering dates in a system. I’m calling or emailing someone I know personally, someone I’ve met through Virtuoso, my affiliation with Gifted Travel Network, or my own travels, who wants your stay to be exceptional.

A welcome amenity? That’s lovely. But what about an upgraded room with a view because I knew who to ask? A private guide who fits your family perfectly because I’d vetted them personally six months earlier? That’s the difference a well-connected advisor makes.

We Know What the Photos Don’t Show

The website says “ocean view.” But is that through a sliver of palm trees or panoramic from your balcony?

Site inspections and on-the-ground experience allow me to steer you toward what’s truly worth your investment and avoid what looks great online but misses the mark in real life.

In October, I’ll be inspecting properties like Borgo Egnazia, Masseria Torre Maizza, Zash, and Belmond Grand Timeo—not just for their luxury appeal, but for the kind of details that don’t show up in search results: service levels, layout, vibe, and staff warmth.

We Make the Right Things Happen

Room not ready? I have a contact to nudge the process. Anniversary trip? I’ve already told the GM. A last-minute spa appointment? Let me text someone on your behalf.

This isn’t about status, it’s about service. You don’t see the calls, follow-ups, or careful calendar management behind the scenes. But they’re there, and they make all the difference.

Travel Is Personal. Your Advisor Should Be Too.

When you work with a well-connected travel advisor, you’re not outsourcing a booking—you’re inviting someone into your story. Someone who will listen, anticipate, and advocate. Someone who already knows the right people, so you don’t have to stress about finding them.

Next month’s Italy trip is one of many I’ve taken to deepen those relationships, and I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes highlights from Puglia and Sicily as I go.

If you want a travel experience that feels as seamless as it does special, let’s talk.
